I believe Gillian assisted my daughter and I with her first adult bike. She was very accommodating given that there was a clinic happening at the same time. She even provided me with a bike to ride with my daughter for her test ride. My daughter trialed a road bike but went for the hybrid. Gillian didn’t try to convince me or my daughter to go for the more expensive road bike. She was more committed to my daughter’s preference in comfort and confidence with the hybrid. All in all,Gillian and BFF made my daughter’s New Bike Day a great experience. Support your local and independent businesses!

Awesome customer service!

Just moved to Chicago from Boulder, CO. Had a warranty issue for a mfg they carry, so that's what brought me in.

The service was fantastic! Mfg was going to be slow with parts, but BFF worked out a creative solution to keep me riding. Which is helpful as my bike if my main source of transportation in town.

Worked with three people and all were focused on moving the warranty claim forward and getting me riding while waiting on the mfg.

Looks like a stellar selection of bikes, but service is what makes a shop. And their service was fantastic!

BFF is so much more than an outstanding bike shop with incredible mechanics and a great selection of bikes and gear. It is an integral member of every community it serves—the cycling community, from the casual rider, to the commuter, to the road racer, and everything in between; the triathlon community, from the first time super-sprinter to the seasoned Ironman; and the local Bucktown community. Everyone is welcome! There is so much experience and heart at BFF. It is a true gem!

BFF is a wonderful, helpful place! I took their fix a flat class and basic bike maintenance class, very thorough and so useful. I would recommend them for any repairs and/or bike purchases.

I took my e-bike to BFF Bikes after getting in an accident with a car on Damen. The folks there gave me water and helped me calm down and gave me advice on next steps. They proceeded to work diligently to repair the bike for 2 months while the insurance claim was getting worked out. They allowed me to put down a $100 deposit so they could start ordering the parts so my bike would be repaired by the time the insurance claim was sorted out. There were some issues with finding a part that they diligently followed up on and provided me occasional detailed updates. Angela was also prompt in getting the quote and other insurance documents prepared. I would highly recommend BFF Bikes for regular and ebike repairs, as a lot of Chicago shops do not work on e-bikes. Thank you, Angela and folks for your hard work and advocacy in helping me through my accident and repairing my bike!
