Sun N Lakes has Overpriced water and sewer .for Example if you have a property here; you are charged $38.46 even if not using water actively .
Meaning when you are not living at that property;ie a snowbird person .
RESEARCH All The Insane rules here ....before living here!! Also the rules change whenever a group of men decide .

This is nothing of a peaceful place to live .with the constan harassment from cod enforcement BOB....nothing but a big bully .The bad quality of water. The pool it has so much chlorine, my eyes were so irritated and my bathing suit got faded away ,you can smell the chlorine from the outside. And if you dont pay the anual pool membership, you pay 5.00 dollar p.p.
Plus the $750.for living in there.
And a restaurant that we don't gain no benefit out of it and they take money out of the community money to pay for that restaurant and to buy new curtains . While they're saying they are losing lose more than $300,000 a year for having that restaurant that we don't know who get all the money.

I love living in Sun N Lakes district. I came here to live a simple, retired and quiet life. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob Blomfield, Code Enforcement Officer who answered my many questions about the district. He was very polite and respectful, as well as very knowledgeable about the district. The staff members I met so far since 2013, are approachable, friendly and helpful, except one. As a customer service personnel, I expected she would be pleasant and approachable, at best. I’ve met security officers Mike and Bob who usually respond in a timely manner when I require their assistance.

I appreciate the district’s work in keeping the grass along the roadways trimmed and as often as needed. I appreciate they have a mosquito control personnel that sprays the area as needed. I appreciate the strategically placed street light since I came here and those by the mailboxes. In the area of the district where I live, I love that there are no electric wires blocking my view of the sunset. I appreciate the yard and bulk waste pickup. I appreciate having security patrolling the area. I am aware there are dangerous wildlife around the area, so I have to take caution if I go walking or jogging, and also while on the nature trails. The homes in my area are sparse, so I don’t encounter much neighbors. I appreciate not having neighbors walking unleashed dogs. The few neighbors that I do encounter typically exchange friendly greetings. There are some that don’t care to. Some neighbors pass by on bicycles, golf carts and occasional ATVs. I also don’t having problems in my area prowling cats.

It’s truly peaceful and quiet where I live. It’s a safe environment overall. I don’t see police cruisers go by because there’s really no need. Hopefully it stays that way. I live in a no flood zone, so that’s one less bill to pay. There’s a fire hydrant close by and the new fire department is close by as well which results in lower home insurance cost. I love the idea of living close to US 27 S, which also me easy travel to the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami area. US 27 N provides easy access to I-4 to go West to Tampa and St. Petersburg or East to Orlando. That kind of accessibility is a big plus for me. With the six lanes on US 27, it gives me quick and easy access to stores such as Wal-Mart, Aldi and Home Depot or Lowes.

I’m definitely off the beaten path back in the section of the district where I live which means less traffic and more peace and quiet. My biggest concern living here is the wildlife creatures such as bears, bobcats, foxes and alligators. I don’t particularly desire to go walking or jogging about because of that and that’s regrettable. I was hoping I would be able to take long walks or go jogging without any major concern for my safety. Other than that, I’m very happy living here. Having good neighbors help makes the difference in living in peace and enjoying our homes. Thankfully I live in peace with my one close neighbor. As I’ve said the houses where I’m located are sparse, hence the reason for having only one very close neighbor.

I have been trying to follow the procedures to connect service to my new home. The process is more difficult than getting a passport. It’s just water hookup that they can disconnect. I have to send them closing documents that is none of their business. I just need water. OMG

Never been under a boil water precaution so many times in my whole life and I’ve only been here a little over a year. Ever hear of backup generators or another source of power or an upgrade since the current system is so unreliable? Terrible service to have to be under 72 hour boil water precaution every couple of months. Too bad there is no other options but to continue to pay for an inferior service.

Security is Harassing to "certain addresses " when other homes within eyesight have been in Violation of Multiple code issues. Can never get any response from Bob or Miguel

They need to learn how to bill. And their online payment is very old and needs to be updated. Great place to live but the utilities are stuck in the 80's.

Sun N' Lake is a wonderful community to live in the staff at the Improvement are very helpful and a great resource to get to know more about the community!
